Examinations:
Skills Demonstration (Practical work)
will be assessed using Daybreak’s Skills and Assessments.
All practical work involves Units 1-4
Sufficient time will be given for you to perfect these skills
You will demonstrate each skill as required in the Module. Each skill is broken down into a series of steps which are sequential. A printout of each skill will be given to you for your portfolio. You will be expected to answer the question appropriate to each step. That is ‘why you do it’ relating to the skills.

On completion of this Unit you will be able to:

1.5 Understand the social impact of ageing on older people
1.6 Discuss differing attitudes to ageing and older people

1.8 Understand the role of statutory and voluntary agencies in promoting the wellbeing of older people
1.9 Understand the concept and practice of preparation for retirement
1.10 Demonstrate an appreciation of the ethnic and cultural influences on the older person
