Is my assessor a qualified person?

Your assessor is a qualified person. That is he or she is qualified to teach and instruct in healthcare skills because he or she holds a statutory qualification in these.  He/she is registered with An Bord Altranais, (the Irish Nursing Board). He/she is qualified to train and instruct because he has met the standards required by FAS/EI the statutory body which sets standards in training – eg. a qualification in Essential Trainer Skills.

Is Daybreak School a licensed training organization?

Daybreak School is licensed by FAS/EI and has a training registration number which can be accessed on the internet from the FAS website.

Daybreak School is licensed by the Irish Heart Foundation as a registered site to train Basic Life Skills.

Is Daybreak School accredited by FETAC?

Yes. Daybreak School is accredited by FETAC and has had its Policies and Procedures ratified. Thus, The Quality Assurance has been accepted by FETAC

What happens to my portfolio of evidence and any other examinations I do?

Details of your examinations are kept at the Administration office in Daybreak School. All information on students and staff are kept in a locked filing cabinet in the office of the Director of Training. 

Who can I appeal to if I believe I should have been awarded my credit but failed?

A pre-printed letter is available for you to make an appeal against any decision regarding your examination, assessments etc. Just address to The Director of Training, Daybreak School, 36 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1 (A copy of this letter is available from the secretary at Daybreak School).
