Prospective Students

Students wishing to do the Health Care Assistant Foundation Course first meet with the Director of Training for interview. This can be arranged by telephone 0877746112 or emailing daybreakschool@gmail.com

Interviews take place at Daybreak School, the Teacher’s Club, 36 Parnell Square, W. Dublin 1 (opposite the Rotunda Hospital.) Appointments are necessary as classes are taking place at various times in the school. So please ring first or email for appointment to meet with the Director of Training.

Requirements: Photocopy of passport, two small passport photographs, copy of PPS number letter and character reference.

The student must have a commitment to life long learning and be especially committed to a vocation of caring for the older person. Students must have spoken English at a reasonable level.

Nursing home placements are only guaranteed if the student shows competence in the school’s training programmes.

Students wishing to do any of the FETAC level 5 Health Care Courses meet with the Director of Training, showing evidence of employment in the health care services OR have done a prior Health Care Assistant Foundation Course at Daybreak School which is the access Course to FETAC level 5.
